Thursday evening – Arrival and Orientation

Practical GPS Navigation
Uploading routes to your GPS device. Navigating with watch and mobile.
Gear and Packing
Overview of essential trail gear, packing for safety and efficiency, how to handle unexpected terrain and challenges in mountain terrain.
Evening Mindfulness Session
Breathing technique, body scan and setting intention.
Saturday – Summit to the escarpment
A practical session in which we put all of the previous days training to use in our journey onto the Drakensberg escarpment and back. We will be doing the stunningly beautiful and adventurous Bell Traverse route. There are options for those who would prefer a shorter day.
