ultimately your responsibility. Premium is a one-off purchase handled by the
app store. The app is provided as-is.
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and
Mindful Runner Pty Ltd (“we”, “us”), the publisher of the Tilloa mobile app
(“the app”). By downloading or using the app you agree to these Terms. If you do
not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Licence to use Tilloa
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app
on devices you own or control, for your own gardening use. You may not resell,
redistribute, rent, reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the app’s content or
data, except where the law expressly permits it.
2. Premium purchase
- Tilloa’s core almanac is free. Premium is an optional one-off
purchase that unlocks the full crop library and the My Garden feature. - All purchases are processed by Apple’s App Store or Google Play.
We never see or store your payment details. - Refunds are handled under the store’s own policy (Apple or Google) —
please request them through the store you bought from. - Prices may change for future purchases; a price you have already paid is not
affected.
3. Gardening, food-safety & nutrition — important disclaimer
Tilloa gives general, educational guidance — not professional advice.
Growing conditions differ by region, soil, season and weather, and results can
never be guaranteed.
- Food preservation & safety: Home preserving — especially canning,
bottling, fermenting and curing — carries real health risks (including
botulism) if done incorrectly. Tilloa’s preservation guidance is a starting
point only. Always follow tested, current methods from a recognised food-safety
authority (for example the USDA / National Center for Home Food Preservation,
or your local agricultural extension service), and when in doubt, throw it
out. You are responsible for the safety of anything you preserve or eat. - Nutrition figures are approximate reference values (based on public
food-composition data) for general interest. They are not dietary, medical or
nutritional advice. Consult a qualified professional for health decisions. - Plants & foraging: confirm the identity and edibility of any plant
before eating it. Never rely on the app alone to decide a plant is safe to eat.
4. Acceptable use
Use the app lawfully and as intended. Do not misuse it, interfere with its
operation, or use it in a way that infringes anyone’s rights.
5. Content & intellectual property
The app, its design, text, illustrations, the Tilloa name and logo, and the
compiled growing/storage data belong to Mindful Runner Pty Ltd or its licensors and are
protected by law. Your licence to use the app does not transfer any ownership to
you.
6. Availability & changes
Tilloa works offline; the only online feature is fetching your local weather
forecast. We may update, change or discontinue features over time. We aim to keep
the app accurate and working but cannot guarantee it will always be available or
error-free.
7. No warranty
The app and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without
warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a
particular purpose, accuracy, or that gardening or preservation outcomes will be
achieved. This does not exclude any rights you have under South African consumer
law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mindful Runner Pty Ltd will not be liable for
any loss or damage — including spoiled produce, failed crops, illness from
improperly preserved or misidentified food, or any indirect or consequential loss
— arising from your use of, or reliance on, the app. Nothing in these Terms limits
liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and
the South African courts have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory
consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows
the current version; continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the
updated Terms.
